Just hangin' 'round killin' a day,

When I got watchin' the Godfather again,

Maybe for the tenth time, I dare say,

Just hangin' 'round here in my den.

 

The cinematography is great

And the acting is the best,

Now dinner will have to wait

Or on my lap it will have to rest.

 

And the screenplay's right on,

Man I love these Corleones;

Sonny, Michael, Tom and the Don

And of course Fredo and the lesser knowns.

 

And me well I can take on the role,

When my wife says it's my turn for the dishes,

And I laugh looking up from my bowl,

And remind her Luca Brasi sleeps with the fishes.
